I am searching for the Mihalik, Hudec, Papro, Lavuss families in Horné Kamenec.

My line:
1.Adam Michálik (b. 1798) married 1817, Dolny Kamenec to Zuzanna Hudec (b. 1798). Child:
2.Tomas Michálik (b. 1824, Dolny Kamenec). Married to Anna Papro (b. 1830, daughter of Ján Papro and Julianna Lavuss) in 1850, Horné Kamenec. Children:
a., Tomas Mihalik 1855-1925
b., Maria Mihalik 1865-1934
c., Jakub Mihalik 1867-1905(?) - he was my great-grandfather.
d., Zuzanna Mihalik 1870-?

Dear Zlatica!

Thanks, I searched the online-phonebook yesterday after I started search the church records of Kamenec. (I shocked and was very happy when I find that the microfilms are in the Hungarian National Archives!)

I have two questions to you:
1. What you think: what language is the good to write first to Mihaliks? I can write English and German, but I can ask some friend to write a little summary in Slovakian. Is it good?
2. Where did Kamenec catholics baptize before 1777? Because the Kamenec's church records started in 1777.

The SK's phone company was updating the internet book and they ended up taking out the phone numbers. As long as the address is there. Here is a zip code site www.slovenskaposta.sk
Best would be in Slovak but English will do. Do send a small family information (family tree) and a photo of your ancestor for a visual aid.

It is possible that there are no records beyond 1777.
